Mt. Sinai Poster - "Jabal Maqla" (24x36)

By Andrew Jones

This is the southern ridge of Jabal Maqla in the Jabal al-Lawz range in NW Saudi Arabia, the ancient Land of Midian where Jethro, the father-in-law of Moses, lived. The photo was taken on our first trip to the area in April 2016.

My photographer climbed up on the other side of the Cave of Elijah peak to take this photo, looking west at the mountain, late in the afternoon. We were free to roam all day, exploring the base of the mountain and even climbing it with no hassle from the locals, who were strangely absent. We consider the first of many miracles on this trip.

You can also see a flat plateau area in the middle of the photograph. This secluded area would make a great location for the 70 elders to meet and eat with God and Moses! (Exodus 24:9-11).

Sinai researcher Andrew Jones graciously provided all of the photos for this year’s calendar — and now you can get any image in a 24x36 poster size!

These beautiful images of the real Mt. Sinai in Saudi Arabia were shot by Andrew Jones and his team in higher definition than ever possible before, and some reveal areas never captured on film!
